About Us

KMO Investment Limited

Building a sustainable food future for rural Nigeria through solar-powered innovation.

Our Story

Founded in 2021 and headquartered in Abuja, Nigeria, KMO Investment Limited was born from a simple observation: despite producing bumper harvests of yams, potatoes, and corn, smallholder farmers remained trapped in poverty due to post-harvest losses of up to 40%.

While executing agricultural supply contracts for the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, our team witnessed the heartbreaking reality of surplus crops rotting in fields because rural communities lacked both reliable grid electricity and cold-storage infrastructure.

We chose a different path: modular, decentralized factories powered entirely by hybrid solar networks. This approach bypasses the national grid entirely, allowing us to process food directly at the farm gate and convert perishable crops into shelf-stable, high-value flour.
